Made this on Thursday and it was so good! I like to add a few dashes of Worcestershire (to taste) to the sauce. For something different you can add mexican corn to the mix! My mom could pull this together in no time and we would gobble it all up. My husband and I have been using this recipe since 2013. Made my day! Outstanding flavor!! And cover the cooker, cook at medium heat for 2 to 3 hours. It’s the same in my family – ha! I just made this, and even though I had to use chicken broth instead of beef, it turned out really yummy. How would brown gravy mix and water compare instead of flour and beef broth? . This was delicious! Very Yummy!! Made the beef stroganoff, I did use ground turkey meat, since I had no beef at home. I made this tonight and it was great! I added a can of drained diced tomatoes because my dad makes stroganoff that way. Otherwise, this recipe sounds spot on to me. One of the best family meals I’ve ever made with an on-line recipe. Made it tonight. I used French Onion Soup mix instead of Cream of Mushroom and it turned out amazingly! And we are able to Double it either to Freeze or If Our Sons Love it then it will be gone by Tomorrow at Lunchtime ! In a large bowl mix together all the dry ingredients(Onion Soup mix, bread crumbs & garlic salt) then add in the wet ingredients(water or beef broth, Worcestershire sauce & egg) mix together then add in the ground beef and incorporate all the ingredients together mix well. I like making my rice on the sticky side so that the gravy doesn’t make it too mushy. Next time, I’ll make sure to add mushroom to it (I forgot this time) but other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing. Woo hoo!! I'm going to make this for my in-laws tonight!! The ratio of sauce to 12 oz package of egg noodles is good. Just some ground beef, seasonings, an easy gravy mix and boom – dinner is served! Even the egg noodles? You might need some extra broth on hand in case it has dried out a bit. Just made this for dinner.. Love this great and simple version of a classic dish. This was very easy to make and so good.
